I've made several beats this week. I made an EDM (electronic dance music) type beat, a rock and roll type beat and a "trap" type beat. my favorite was surprisingly the rock and roll beat, because I found a guitar sound that I really liked and made a cool pattern with it. something new I learned about garage band was that it actually shows the music that you create in musical notation, as well as on the track. this was funny to me, because while I thought that was interesting, it offered little help to be because I have no clue how to read music. three goals: 1. to master beat making on garage band 2. to be able to make beats for different genres of music 3. be able to make beats that are similar to those of a particular artist I have probably made the most progress towards goal #2, because I have made a variety of beats for varying genres of music. as far as goal one, I am working towards this, but there are still new functions that I have yet to try out in garage band ...
